Conservation

Dewing Building & Timberframe is the result of a skill being passed from one generation to the next. Beginning with two Dewing brothers who honed their skills building their own houses on the family’s century old farm in Warren Center, PA, they have gone on to build alongside the next generation. The Dewing family is passionate about land and wildlife conservation. Timber framing is just another way we connect with the stewardship of what we have.

Coming from a long line of farmers and landowners, conservation is very important to us, including the preservation of skills and values that seem to get left behind in the progression of society. You can call us old fashioned, but we’re not against progress and development, in fact quite the opposite. We’re committed to building on the past rather than starting from scratch. We are the recipients of a great heritage left by those before us and intend to continue to build that intergenerationally, through the passing down of spirituality, relationships, skills, knowledge and finances. (Though, from this perspective it would be proper to phrase it as passing up)
